rubber reel retainers

The rubber reel retainers for my TEAC A-1230 are pretty shot. Afer all I did buy the deck new in 1972. Any idea where to get replacements. Original replacements would be cool but not necessary. Especially if expensive.
Thanks

Just get #4 or #5 single hole stoppers from the chemistry supply and you will be good to go. I bought 6 from off E bay once.
I have used them on units here when I get one of those old units in- they work great- I put a touch of grease in the hole if it is too tight.

I recall reading where people were using sink-stoppers for these. Mebbe head over to the local hardware place and have a look around. You may need to drill a hole, but I'll bet you can solve the problem.

Thanks for all the suggestions. The rubber plugs with hole or sink stopper idea all look like they would work but I did find the "orange cones" and may just go that route as I can get them sent to my house. This way I can get them without leaving the house.
Thanks

Problem solved. Remembering how great the pinch roller cleaner/rejuvenator worked on all of my pinch rollers I treated the original factory reel retainers and they work great now.
Thanks
