Turntables in tv shows

I noticed a few. In "Grim", Det Burkhart's friend (who loves all things German), played a record for a his girlfriend on a tt, looked like a Dual to me.
In Mike and Molly, Carl's mom has gold records on the wall. One need thing (I wish I had it) is an artistic drawing of a strait arm equipped turntable. It hangs almost above her turntable, which I am not sure, might be an old Sony.

Doctor House has a lovely turntable.

I've noticed Carl's mom in Mike & Molly has a turntable and the gold discs and I love the artwork.

Are we talking current shows or can we add historical data too?

There was always a credit for SOTA Turntables at the end of every episode of House.

Cheers

I am sure Inspector Morse used cassette and vinyl during the 90's to listen to opera.

There's an episode of Dharma & Greg where the latter is proving a point by playing an original 1970's vinyl record.

In the 1996 Doctor Who TV movie the Doctor is playing a 45 on a 1950's record player in the Tardis console room in the opening scene.

Must be more turntables on TV.

In the show Lost there was a TT playing some old Willie Nelson in the Swan.

There was one, a console style, in an episode of Bones. Booth's shrink turned out to be a rock star from the 70's

Morse had an Roksan Xerxes though they never showed the logo or name and a whole wall of vinyl. In one episode the bad guy is owner of the company that made the table and he visits the factory. In another episode a bad guy sets fire to his home and they show all his vinyl melting and burning up.
Even when John Thaw knew he was dying of lung cancer they did a final episode where he dies of a heart attack instead. I liked that series a lot because like me he never got the girl no matter how hard he tried....And he drove a nice old Jag and I had a signal red Mark I at the time.

This Thorens was in the series Jesse Stone with Tom Selleck. Unfortunately he later gets pissed and throws a book at it while its playing pretty much destroying it.

In the episode of Columbo with a name something like "Bye Bye Sky High IQ" the murder sets around a programmable TT which was programmed to knock something off the deck with the arm, triggering a noise so people would think the murder took place later than it did.

They wouldn't. Paid product placement was illegal in the UK until a couple of months ago. This used to be taken to extremes with masking tape put over brand names on screen in case someone felt it was an advertisement or endorsement. So, if Morse's Roksan had been identified in the credits people would have seen it as product placement. You can bet the production company paid full price for it.

That was an ADC Accutrac 4000. Here is the screenshot I posted about it in the Columbo thread a while back.

That dude has tons of vinyl too. Every now and then you get a shot of the table or a quick glance.
