Nakamichi Pressure pad lifter replacement option

I have come across quite a few machines both Sankyo and classic transport with missing pressure pad lifter but otherwise in good condition..While some of these machines can be used for salvaging parts...some of the them are in really good condition to part them out...

Also looks like the pressure pad lifter between sankyo and classic transport are not interchangeable... The sankyo pressure pad lifter is slightly wider and lengthy... I tried the LX 5 pressure pad on CR 4 and it did not fit...

I was thinking, may be it will be a good idea to 3d print the pressure pad lifter after precisely profiling it.

While the pressure pad is not a critical part for general operation, I think it is essential for eliminating scrape flutter and also increase the longetivity of the pb head...

Please do chip in with your ideas and suggestion..

You might duplicate the pad lifter using neoprene O-rings, but you'd need to ne able to align the heads. I believe many service people remove the pad lifter when the misalign the head tilt and the treble wavers.

Interesting work around...never thought of that...have you done something like that in the past...how do they hold up....

I was thinking may be I can cut some sheet metal and bend it to a close shape....May not be an easy task but will give it a try...
