Turntable Gallery II

Welcome to the second Turntable Gallery. Thanks for everyone's support.

The first is still there for all to view and will continue to be the case, being both popular and snagging new members...well that's the idea...

This year will doubtless be a good one for turntable, tonearm and cartridge designs. CES 2015 is only a few days away and images will follow. Beyond that any number of trade shows will feature new models.

Might also be the year when Derainer's new design becomes commercially available. He's one of ours so praise where due.

Vinyl production continues to rise ensuring it's longevity, appeal and accessability (nothing like it's heyday of course) - QC notwithstanding is all very encouraging. Less so is the rising cost of records when the latter becomes an issue.

Overall we're really very fortunate.

Michell Double Prisma

......"A rare example is the Double Prisma. Mainly sold on the German market, the deck featured two platters working from the same drive system. A total of four arms could also be fitted."

Surely Doppleganger would have been a better name then...

Another new one...apparently.

Would like an actual representation rather than an artist's impression.

SME

Turntable production taken to an exemplary level, period.

SME have their detractors naturally, after all we don't perceive sound in the same way, but what is magnificent is the engineering approach and implementation.

Enjoy.

Interesting...maybe I'm an old fogie, but I love the look of the Onkyo and don't care at all for the look of that AMG. But I guess that's why it's nice to have choices

The Triangle Arts Reference Special Edition, which I think denotes the black finish: to my mind a more pleasing aesthetic than their regular one.
