I don't know if you remember, but there was a query here on TH about that particular deck having tape path issues. The poster here had links to youtube videos showing the problem. Look at the headphone jack on the deck in the video and compare that to the one in the ebay listing (the head-phone jack is not original). I'd tread with caution for that listing.

I certainly wasn’t looking for one. I was just checking for side panels and current listings. Good memory there!

I've been trying to source something like these.

Something like it might be available here: https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-washers/=19s84fq

I don't necessarily seek them out, but they're nice to have. The ZX-9 I got from Nakdoc had the original boxes and manual, the 505 I recently got appears to have every single original pack-in including both tapes, which is pretty cool.

My Tandberg RC 20T remote arrived today well packed and looking in mint condition. It's HUGE!!! It's a full 6inches/15cm long, made of black plastic and the top has the same color brushed aluminum that the TCD-3014A has. It photographs "blacker" than it really is. This should satisfy my O.C.D. for a minute or two.

I'll have to post a pic of what that remote looks like when it's NOS/in original box...

Yes I get a bit OCD on trying to get as much of the original supplied items as possible. But it is not a deal breaker.

As for those inserts. Just do a search for "Cupped" washers.

These look cool. https://www.amazon.com/Actobotics-59...SIN=B00SA2X4S0 But the shipping is a bit high for something that small.

See this search I did https://duckduckgo.com/?q=cupped+was...sb&ia=products .

Also see http://www.ebay.com/itm/nylon-6-6-cu....c100753.m4841

And the Ebay search https://www.ebay.com/sch/items/?_nkw...ds=&rmvSB=true

Hope this helps get you started.

EDIT: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Adastra-952-...IAAOSwcB5ZFFrs

There are several tapered & counter sunk cupped washers on Ebay in various colors & sizes.

.

Nice finds!!!

the skateboard wheel washers could look spiffy painted up black and countersunk into the panels.

The "Adastra" rack kit has about the closest design I am looking for. They're already black and have an almost straight side collar to hid the countersunk wood.

Something like this might work. I could even cut the hinged cover cap off if I wish. .62" is a decent width.
