I still use film mainly black and white withy on system, om 1s and 2s. Digital will never match it. I was a dedicated Kodachrome user too that had no rivals. It was a very sad day it was laid to rest.

I've been testing some old, very BOTL cameras that I inherited a while ago.

These are from an Agfa Synchro Box, 50s box camera which I know had not been used since 1958 as I found a film in it last year from that time.

Your Velvia must be aged a bit, because I see the typical magenta cast in the scans. My old roll of this and others do the same thing.

Hmm I may have devv'd it a little hot, that Velvia was fresh and cold stored.....

I hear that Fuji is killing off all their slide film in 2018, which is too bad. I might just use Ektar for landscapes from here on out, Unless Kodak's fabled Ektachrome comes back.........

Nah they are just killing off multi-packs of Velvia 50.

Single rolls will continue to be available. Velvia 100 is not affected.

Fuji are jut awful at communication. But they do have to cancel some lines. Their machinery for film coating and finishing is based on the volume that they were producing 15-20 years ago. It is not possible to do smaller runs, so what they do is a mahoosive run of any given emulsion and then cold store it themselves. If it doesn't sell out before expiry, then that particular emulsion is at risk.
