Nakamichi High-Com II

Bought this last week. Unreal results with my 582 on TDK AD, SA and MA!

Mostly MFSL recordings. Never a big fan of Dolby but this is something else. Anyone else use one?

Having something similar sitting around. Have to read the manual first. Got it as a package when a guy sold me his ZX9 I guess I was at the right place at the right time.

I did buy a dbx 150x Type-1 noise reduction unit lately, for use with my Akai GX-R99 cassettedeck, and it brings it to 'dead quiet' to my surprise. After working with mosty Dolby b/c-type and Philips' DNL all these years.

How does Highcom do the job compared to dbx?

I'm yet to get my dbx 155 fully working, only one card/channel is working as it should so I need to workout the problem and fix the other boards. From what I've read the HighCom II is superior.
