Thank you for your appreciation, you are most welcome and I'm very happy they've given you pleasure. The European adverts in general are very bold for the most part and really stand out or are very creative.

As long as enthusiasts use them, they'll never be obsolete, tapes really do have a life after they've been manufactured which is a wonderful thing. (But you know that already)

All the best and thanks again,

Damon

Hello to SR2245,

Many thanks for your thanks, it is kind of you and I appreciate it.

I also want to thank you for contributing two new ads, I have actually seen the live action television version of the cartoon ad, I think it was on YT.

All the best to you,

Damon.

You're more than welcome!

I can't speak about other Matsui product, but I have a Matsui VP9607A VHS HQ video cassette recorder I bought for 99.99 from Currys in Salford for my VCR collection and it was a real bargain. Much better than the budget-priced Funai, Philips and LG video recorders that were left on the market in later years. I remember the woman who served me saying they had sold three of them in the last half an hour. They were advertised in the national newspapers that morning.

Dixons/Currys group own brands like Matsui, Saisho and Logik have always intrigued me, an awful lot of their product was sold over the years.

I miss those days of seeing the latest Dixons or Currys ads in the newspapers in the 80s. TV, video and home computers were of most interest to me. It would be exciting to see huge "scoop purchase" ads from Dixons for newly discontinued micros like the Tatung Einstein or Commodore Plus 4 going for ridiculously cheap prices.

All the best,

Damon.
