Teac A series replacement parts???

I was wondering if there's anywhere on this site where there might be a list of vendors, repair shops, distributors, etc. that may carry replacement parts? They could be used or NOS for the Teac A series, or X series too as far as that goes?. If not wonder why. I was just thinking where do the techs that have to work on these units all the time get their parts when needed when no longer available from Teac?

Some parts are made, some parts come from other machines as in parted out units. The two sources I have used were Audio Pro and Reelprosoundguys. E bay can have parts but you need to look at what you are getting- there are people selling head blocks that say good heads on them but I can plainly see that these heads are all worn out. Buyer beware- E bay is either full of crooks or ignoramus.

I have a lot of different parts here too but it cost me money to sell them- just too much time to process and ship especially if it is over seas.

Hey Sam,
Thanks for the leads. I'm trying to start me own list with names and contact info for future parts needed. I can see where someone in your position may end up shooting themselves in the foot by selling used surplus parts. If luck is like my about the time you sold it a unit would come in that needed it. I discovered the A-4300SX deck I have has a home made right tension arm and the drum spring looked all distorted and stretched. Luckily I happen to find the complete assembly, with switches, drum, spring and the likes on ebay and got it for a little over $18.00. Thanks again for taking time to post.
