If you read the Japanese text carefully, they are telling you how to extract cheese puffs and crayola crayons from your prized cassette decks.

one must remember, the later generation japanese are, by nature, a far more cutesy/huggy/squeezy/lovey-dovey kind of people than us rough n' tough, balls-to-the-wall barbarian americans. it is likely a direct result of the ass-holes that the earlier generation japanese men were well known to be. a LOT has changed in japan since World War II, and far too many americans are too stuck in the past to have noticed. for an example, just look at the disparity between the U.S. and Japanese video game markets; over there, adventure-quest Role Playing Games and Dating Simulations dominate top-seller lists. whilst here in the good 'ole U.S. of A, it is quite literally ALL ABOUT First-Person perspective shoot-'em-all-dead type games. i personally believe that the republicans are responsible for encouraging it all as they seem to desire to train-up a generation of blood-thirsty americans to use in the Armed Forces. just look at the advertisements in "GAME INFORMER" one of the highest circulation video game magazines; if an ad page isn't depicting some sort of gruesome atrocity, it is surely casting an army recruitment spiel your way. i for one am SCARED TO DEATH of this new generation of war-mongers that i will have to face in my later years. love and sweet sincerity will melt all but the blackest of hearts, and so many japanese men and women are so finely in tune to that. at least one nation in this black, black world is, thank god. one look at Japanese Animation alone will tell volumes. as the 'ol stuwster likes to say, "out with the hate, in with the love"

Speaking of anime, how awesome is this? (http://www.nintendo.com/wii/virtualconsole/games/detail/Pt519Ja8XNjuXT7WYoTFHT_hC9YzcZxV) I have the original that came with my TurboDuo! It is originally a game from 1987 but NEC licensed the game from Falcom in 1990 and brought it to their TurboGrafx 16 CD system (PC Engine). Now I hope they offer Ys III and the Japan only release Ys IV (which I imported but cannot play) ugh. I can't wait to play this on the couch instead of tethered to the Duo and its 3' controller cable.

:-)<-:-)<- i have all my old systems, and nearly all of the games!! i once had "WANDERERS FROM Ys" for the SNES fifteen years ago, but we traded it to my mother's sister for her copy of FINAL FANTASY II, which i still have. to date, the only Ys that i have is the PLAYSTATION 2 release of "Ys: THE ARK OF NAPISHTIM" that one is delightful, and is going nowhere. i got started in video games back in 1989 with the SEGA GENESIS, and have been scouring the bay for several great games that i once had that i traded off in my dumb-assed youth. ASSAULT SUIT LEYNOS/TARGET EARTH has always been my #1 favorite GENESIS game, and i got a complete copy of the original japan release of LEYNOS not long back. my first-edition GENESIS has no lockout system other than a pair of fairings on the cartridge slot that prevent a japanese cart from being inserted. all i had to do was open the chassis, remove the guide frame with the fairings that is screwed onto the top body half, and snip off the fairings with a wire cutter. oh, yes, i also believe i had to widen the cartridge opening on the top half as well...
