Empire 999VE on Yamaha YP-D6

I have an Empire 999VE that was given to me a couple days ago. it has a wooden case, i installed it on my Yamaha YP-D6 showen below. If someone can give me some Backround on this Empire cart please reply to thread. thanks.

Info on vintage Empire pickups is few and far in-between for some reason. I collect the Optimum Performance and Dynamic Interface series and you really gotta dig on those. VinylEngine has some info.

I have needles for most of the old Empires, including the 999. According to Pfanstiehl, the 999E tracked at 1-2 grams, while the 999VE was 0.75-1.5 grams. If you want something older I have an Empire 880 used.
