We have had a tremendous influx of new members over the last few months. I wish I could take the time to thank each and every one of them. I do when I am able and they stop by. But I admit, I do miss some. But nonetheless, I would like to extend a warm welcome and hearty thank you for all the folks that have decided to join our community.

One feature about our site that you may not be aware of is that unlike many other sites, we do have dedicated sections for "off topic" discussions for just about any subject material you can imagine. You will find those sections located at the very bottom of the forums under the Non Audio Discussions (http://www.tapeheads.net/forumdisplay.php?f=31) group. There are a total of four areas for off topic discussions: a Suggestion Box for feedback about the site, a "Other General Interest" board to talk about cars and planes and bike riding. Another called "The Mud Pit" for your politics and "Paris Hilton Is An Idiot" types of discussions. And finally, a "Members Only" section, where pretty much anything goes, as long as it isn't obscenely profane or excessively graphic and in poor taste. Or use that section for private talks that visitors (and anyone who hasn't requested access) can't see. Talk about pretty much anything that suits your fancy. As long as it's reasonably clean and tactful.

However, the last two sections are password protected. Those are the areas to discuss hot topics such as news, politics, etc. As well as conversations you'd wish to keep semi-private and restricted to just the community at large. Members who do not have access to those sections will either not see them at all or else they appear at first glance to be empty. If you wish to look around or participate, you may contact either of our Moderators. More information on that can be found here (http://www.tapeheads.net/showthread.php?t=7823).

I figure a password restricted section is the best balance and compromise between allowing expressive and topical freedoms here while at the same time shielding such content from those who don't wish to see those discussions.

This is just an FYI and as always, there are no obligations. I merely thought I'd point these sections out to you.
