...was on this ad for a contest for a video gamer's dream system in a video game magazine i got back in the early '90s just after we moved up here from portland. this is a scan of that very page that i keep in the bag with the rest of my D1S documentation...

as an aside, this ad lived on in many slightly different versions hosted by several different companies. i have examples of pretty much all of them stapled together into a chronologically-ordered collection. that multitude of variations persisted in several video-game mags up until a just a couple/three years ago, when it suddenly died with a whimper, all of those beautiful components being suddenly replaced by an ugly wad of modern day silver-plastic crap. that final, bastardized version only lasted a year or two, and since then, i have not seen head nor hair of it once to date...
