I use these to built a wall.
They were produced in the 1980s in Czechoslovakia.
I have a couple of dozens of them, but not enough to store all my cassettes.

Happened to stumble across this a few years back, no longer in production.
Looks very sturdy and, to my eyes, near perfect - maybe a concerted effort from TapeHeads could see this being brought out of retirement. Dimensions were 24 3/4" H x 32 3/4" W x 2 1/4" D.
Failing that, a keen DIYer could knock out something similar.

I've got the same problem. Back in junior high & high school, I bought some of those 3-drawer units that hold about 42 tapes. Shelves aren't really an option where I am now, but a few of those drawers should help. I only need to store about 40-50 tapes or so I have scattered about. Nice thing about blank tapes is when you buy them in boxes of 10, they have they're own storage until you need them. Unfortunately, I end up ruining about half the boxes when I open them to get the tapes out.

I have bought a few of those drawer units at GW for 2-3 $.
They do come in handy if you have the room for them.

Yeah, I've looked for them @ GW, but I couldn't find any. I may look again before I place an order.

I found this nice rack for 20 tapes today at the thrift market.
I wish I had more of these.
It will definitely be by my work system once I got my own and new room.
I attach some pictures, the third is a close-up of its logo. I do not think it is U2 related :)
