I was looking in the XK-009 SM and found that there is a possibility to adjust the Play motor - page 11, SFR101.
In the SM of the 660 and 770 there is no such possibility.
Now the idea - in theory it could be possible to replace one of the resistors in the reel motor driving circuitry and adjust with it the take up reel torque in Play mode.
The problem is I'm not that good in reading schematics to figure out which resistor to replace.
Please can someone who understands the matter look at the schematics?
The SM for the 660/770/009 is here: http://dataport.cz/file/175584/ASM.zip
I'm aware that the 009 has a separate Play motor and a Reel motor and I guess that changing the Play voltage will most probably affect the FF/REW voltage also.
The problem is I'm trying to fix a 660/770 transport, which has a weak reel motor. The motor is not the original one and the replacement motor has not enough torque with the low ( 3V ) Play voltage. FF and REW is OK - there is torque enough, I've checked with a torque meter.
I was looking for a replacement reel motor and I got one but with a whole AD-F810 tape deck :-)
And the tape deck is in a pretty good shape (OK, one leg missing) and after changing belts it is working almost perfectly, so I don't have the heart to scavenge the reel motor from it ...
