Technics RS-B57R - Specs?

Just grabbed this off of the bay for a decent price. I still say DBX smacks Dolby C silly, especially in the dynamic range dept so I figured what the heck. (never heard Dolby S - no opinion)

I couldn't find this model on vintagetechnicsinfo.com. Anyone out there have any idea what the freq response, etc, might be? I believe the S/N with DBX is 92db... not too shabby.

Back in the 80's I had a Pioneer CT-S88R with dbx, and I never forgot how powerful it sounded with a dbx encoded recording (yah, with a TDK MA-R to boot!). Too bad the logic mech didn't stay good. I think that too went on the side of the road since I gave it to the old man... *flame*

Hmmm.. 20-17 w/metal. We'll see if that makes any diff to me (used to have the "golden ear" but now I have the "deaf ear"... too much noise heheh)

I get to plug it into (hmm, damn indecision here... ) either a Marantz 2230, rescued with a can of deoxit ... or... the D1S coming on Weds!! it'll be an interesting comparison - this Marantz does not sound half bad, man!*beer*
