Tapeheads Two Year Anniversary Announcement

Next Wednesday, May 12th, 2010, will mark the second anniversary of TapeHeads.Net. I will celebrate the occassion with a couple of giveaways.

I haven't totally decided yet. But being that this is a two year occasion, it only makes sense that "two" will be the central theme (i.e. Type II tapes, items/tapes in pairs of two, etc.).

I am still pondering over what to offer as giveaways and how to do it. Certainly some form of Name Those Tunes is at the forefront of my thoughts. Likewise, restrictions will be put in place vís-a-vís membership loyalty and eligibility thereto. Certain longevity and/or post counts will be in place.

This marks an important milestone in our sites history and conversely I only feel that the loyal should be entitled to participate. Some cheeser who signed up six months or a year ago and has made few or no posts isn't going to be able to claim the prize[s].

After spending a lot of thought on this, I've decided that.....I haven't decided yet. A "Name Those Tunes" contest is always fun. But there is no assurance there of being a winner. So what I may end up doing is either an abridged version with maybe one or two songs. Or possibly another "pick a number" type entry where it can be assured of a winner. Then restrict the entries to just the active and loyal members.

And now the prizes.....what to offer up...what to offer up? I'm torn between either a carton of Type II tapes or a sampler pack of them. Or maybe two-two packs. I'll sleep on it one more night. Expect to see a final decision sometime tomorrow.
