Today, I salvaged this deck. Normally, I wouldn't be interested in such a generic unit, but, when I spied the "Three-Type Noise Reduction" displayed on the faceplate I decided to grab it for $15. Here's a lowly, entry level deck featuring Dolby B, C, and DBX II. it was available in two years, only, 1986 and 1987. You would have paid a paltry $260, or less, back then to own it. It's a little weathered exterior-wise, but after a good, regular spring tune-up, it plays like a champ and all the functions work perfectly. I played some "Enigma" from a slew of mix tapes I picked up last week at the same mini-flea market.

Hi Rob,

Now, I'm interested in creating a DBX encoded recording with this little puppy. I have a few dbx separates, but have never used them in recording. I found another resource for Pioneer cassette deck general specifications.
