Dose this R2R plays and records EE tapes?
Is there really a problem of auto-revers with it?

No Sony decks record on EE tapes, Sony pulled out of open reel before they were introduced in the early 1980's. Auto-Reverse was glitchy on these models so much so that my local Sony dealer exchanged that model for another Sony high end model and made no profit on the few he sold. He valued his clients and his integrity.
