(EDIT: OOPS, that title should be "a record BY Maxell") Picked this up at a a private "thrift", along with 10 other or so minty albums, and maybe 30 45s that looked like they'd never been played. This one just really peaked my interest as it looks as if it was played once. May be a great record to tape demo..I'm listening to it now. Wide variety of traditional jazz, and at the time "contemporary" jazz Excellent recording, very quiet vinyl. Mastered on Maxell UD 50-120. 1979. RCA Special Products. Anyone else have any of the other albums?

Hi Perry,

I don't have one, yet, but it's certainly a nice find. Shown in the middle picture are the Maxell tapes, etc.. Is that part of the same album's insert or record sleeve?

I have the Rock and Classical versions IIRC. They are great sounding offerings.

I have the Rock, Rock II, Jazz and Classical LPs. Nice samplers and pretty decent recordings.

Thanks Scorp! The tape photo is the back cover, which is what caught my eye between the Pat Boones and Amy Grants. Scorp, you interested in maybe a tape swap? I'd like a copy of the rock version, and I'll tape you the jazz version.

I've got most (if not all) of the Maxell releases. Fun stuff!

I found one of these at Goodwill, but thought it was not worth the two dollars.

Interested? Yes. Able? Uh, not at this time. Those LPs are buried deep in the ummmmmmm, "garage storage of antiquities" only accessible by Indiana Jones. I mean archived deep under lots of stuff. Lemme see what I can do. But Pacific Stereo has them also.

There were II of each, Jazz, Classical and Rock. I have 3-5 of them I think. I'd have to go look, but won't need Indiana Jones to blaze a trail.
