Wow!! How cool is that! I also had no idea that micro cassettes had been taken that far, even a metal tape. Love the photos.

Your collection looks gorgeous! Nice one *Hi5*

How does a good microcassette compare to standard cassette in terms of sound quality?

Hello :)

I do think microcassette does sound rather great for the size!, but it is
no regular cassette!, maybe also because I must tape with the walkman/microboombox itself, as I do not have a big microcassettedeck yet for taping from records or so :)

What other sources can anyone think of to try to search for a microcassette deck, other than, Ebay & Craigslists? I'm looking for a JVC DM-3, SONY TC-MR2, SANYO RD-XM1. I thank you in advance for any info that can be shared!!!*hope*

I can't seem to find the pics/videos but I recall a few companies making full size stereo microcassette recorders for home audio use.

Anyone have specs they can post from the Owners/Users Manuals that came with the decks? Interested in the specs on the Stereo Sony's, JVCs & the one with the metal tape in it. And any Stereo Micro Recorders.

Also what sort of inputs did they have. I would think the better ones would have AUX inputs & not just Mic input.

Pics of all the input jacks would be also cool!!!

If it would be easier to scan the brochures & repost them that would be great.

Well...that didn't seem to work, you can't click on the photos and see them?!?If you type into the search box on this site "Microcassette",and scan down a few post, you can see them, otherwise, you'll have to wait till later for me to dig out the brochures and the spec. info. Rob

Thanks WP!! Now I need to find the specs pages. As I remember, they weren't great, but surely reasonable for listening to non-critical recordings, but were not as good as their cassette cousins. Rob

I saw this GE boombox listed on E-bay last night but don't see it now. Here are the pics anyway. Way cool with the removable stereo microcassette recorder unit & TV.
