Just for sake of continuity, posting a weekly site update. But really, there isn't anything to report. I haven't made any changes to the site in the last week that any of you would notice. Nor were there really any big news stories here in the tape world.

Only thing worth mentioning is that we have surpassed the 200 membership mark. Though only about a quarter to a third of that is what I'd call active. When we get to 200 ACTIVE users, then that would be something to talk about.

And oh yeah. I know I've mentioned it several times, but it bears repeating. There *IS* a time limit on inactive/passive memberships. That time limit is 180 days (six months).

If that length of time goes by and you do not make a post, your membership will automatically be deleted. I will not send out individual notices or warnings. I've stated it repeatedly. So if any of you "lurkers" in a few months time suddenly come on and discover that you no longer have a membership here, that is why.

So I will not respond to or hear out any "but I didn't do anything. Why was I banned?" e-mails.

It's already been repeatedly stated on the record.

You took the trouble to find this site and sign up for it. Is just two posts a year too much to ask?

Or better yet. Jump in and particpate with us. Let's all get to know each other. It's a lot of fun here.

I guess that's about it for this week. Everyone....keep it up. Looks like VinylDavid is back. Sounds like he did well. Everyone else, stick around and keep spreading the word out about TH wherever you can.

Thank you.

A point of clarification, is that these people don't become banned in our current karma-ist "understanding" of the word, but just have their accounts deleted. They can always rejoin, true or false? And would be welcomed as an active user after that?

Yes. I should've been more clear. They will be "deleted" but not "banned" and would be welcome to [re]join. Of course that would start the clock running again. And the 180 day deadline would still apply.

Does it mean that all of their posts would be deleted as well?

Of course not. It's hard to delete postings when none or few were made in the first place. Hence the reason for the pruning.
