Well, it just got here, special thanks to Gary, aka gkwolfman, very nice packing job, double boxed, lots of bubble wrap. *Hi5* Dale wanted some type II's to start playing around with his Kenwood KX-1060, to make some tapes for the work truck. I've enabled another one *devil*. I wanted to play around with some stuff as well. USPS didn't mess it up (kudos):-)<-

It's gonna be TapeHead city around here for the next couple of days *reelspin**reelspin*

Uh-oh. Does this mean I'm in violation of my own board? *headache*

Here's my cassette "stash" shelf. Hard to get everything visible inside the limited amount of space I have allocated for it. Many of the tapes are either barely or not at all visible.

I took this picture just a few minutes before posting. Sorry it looks a little disheveled. But after the earthquake earlier in the week, I just sort of put everything back up.

My Akai and "Reel Cleer" cassettes are not shown because....well...WHERE would I put them? They are stacked in a corner out of view. I'm overflowing and out of space as it is. Maybe it's time to get some more shelving. The cabinet is five level. The bottom two are filled with my recorded R2R tapes (for obvious reasons of weight and balance, I put them there), and emty 10" metal reels line the very top shelf. NOS R2R tape is in the closet.

Hey Craig,
Glad to see they arrived alright. Yeah, I packed those tapes like they were "High Dollar" tapes, (could be though). Might even be some tunes that you might like on them, I recorded a couple of them.

Let me know if all is okay.

Gary

A-ok, Gary, I couldn't test anything last night as we had numerous cloud to ground lightning strikes for hours, I unplugged half the house, it was so bad. Tomorrow maybe, we're right in the middle of T-storm season, I don't like taking any chances with all my stuff. My insurance wouldn't even come close to replaceing anything.

I am more of a Maxell person but I remember using a few of the Scotch Ferrichrome.
I always liked the type III's.
They never were common though.
Good luck, sounds like some good ones in that lot.
