Everything is in the title.
I once had the opportunity of trying this item.
In fact it takes off the static electricity (what an awkard english. 'Scuse me) from the tonearm. The effect is prodigious.
It was a bit too expensive for me at the time (a few years ago) but when I made my mind up, it was no longer available. But, really, it was a superb and efficient product.
Does anyone out there has one? I'm looking for one. So...*hope*

Do you have a picture. I may be able to get something like it.

Thanks for caring Larry. I appreciate.
Unfortunately no.
But I remember what it looked like.

1°) It was made of wood. A sort of wooden box.
2°) we had to plug in the RCA phono plugs of the tonearm (not the phono preamp since it was only meant to destatisize the tonearm) in 2 RCA plugs situated on one side of the box.
3°) if I remember, it had an electric plug.
4°) there where colour leds to indicate if the operation had ended.

That's all I remember. I contacted Audio Physic a few years ago to ask them if they could build some more (many friends wanted one) but they simply said NO*fit*!

Hello dynax9pro,

The only Audio Physic product that I have heard of along those lines, and it might not "destaticize", was the Strada phono stage, perhaps made around the period as the component you mention.

The stage had a novel built in feature whereby you could demagnetize the cartridge, these surface from time to time on various German hi-fi sites.

I have searched for awhile I can't find one. Wish I could. If the tonearm is grounded wouldn't it do the same thing?

Unfortunately it is not that. It's a different thing. Narrow and totally wooden.

When the retailer told me he had this product and that the effect was astonishing, I didn't believe him saying that if the arm was grounded, no static electricity problem could occur. He told me to use the destaticizer. The effect was GREAT! I remember that the cart needle had to touch the record while the demagnetizer was in use... and then... the sound was totally different. Clear, crisp etc, etc, etc...
I don't really understand why the manufacturer stopped making this product since there were customers...*fit*

Yes Larry*Hi5*! It's a kind of thing like that. Looking different but I think that the effect must be the same.
It's a dangerous item because if you use it once, you cannot live without it.
Thanks again Larry. I appreciate your help.

Ah! I've just found that:
