...between your turntables, cassette decks, reel to reels and preamp?

budget (whatever, doesn't matter),
mid-line (Monster, AR, etc)
high-end (Kimber, Cardas, AQ, etc)
coax (RG6 reg, RG6 Quad Shield, etc)
DIY (tri-braided, "crazy" braided Cat 5 stuff, etc)

Audioquest Jades for everything interconnect,

These pre-date all the woven sheath designs they carry now.

I strictly use Cobalt Cable for speaker wire. Those guys build a great product, especially for longer lengths - and the pricing isn't stupid excessive.

Vampire Wire interconnects on just about everything. It's Ok but I feel like I need an upgrade, been using this brand for over 10 years. Monster for all speaker connections. Need to upgrade here too.

For low-res stuff (video, cassette, MD, etc) I just run ordinary interconnects. For higher-quality sources (vinyl, CD, DAT) I run Audioquest Quartz and Lapis interconnects. I run Cobalt Hyperlitz for speaker wires. I was an AQ dealer for a long time, and really liked a lot of their products.

Some people think wire doesn't make any difference. Everyone has different sensitvities in sonic perception. I can tell you that for me, it makes a huge difference.

I always sold better wire with a full money-back guarantee. If you couldn't hear the difference, you could have your money back. You know, in all the hundreds of pieces of wire I sold over the years, I had exactly one pair come back. A man and his wife returned a set of wires. He couldn't hear the difference. However, his wife could, and she wanted to keep the wire. But, husband won that battle!

We're all different, and we all perceive differently when it comes to details.

I use Tara-Lab and Audio Magic. Not cheap but I like them. My power cords are mostly Chinese. Adcom power conditioners.

I have tried very many. I like these. I like Goertz also. Speaker wires I'm running Tara bi-wires. Brings out more bass in my Epos. I'm about to order more Taras.

Never cared about cables too much as they are incredibly and non-rationally expensive. Sound can be improveds on many levels and the cables are last on my list. The money spent on cables would be far better spent on other things - like a better tube in the headamp or a better capacitor somewhere else... I use good cables but nothing special in any way.

IMO, the cable industry is based on marketing mostly. So in the press you read how cables can influence the sound in this or that way, they can tame the sound or make it brighter. But they can't make anything better - it is just a matter of squeezing a tiny little bit out of what you already have. IMO of course.

Usually the ones that came with the components if I bought them new. I have some mid tier cable sets also, but I can't tell the difference between any of them. As long as they fit snugly and don't pull apart when removing them I am happy. :)

I'll second that.

DIY tri-braided cables are quickly replacing all my other interconnects. I hope to try some silver wire, soon. I can definitely hear a difference. A few pennies or a million dollars; gotta keep that capacitance low, I suppose.
