Just hooked up the Pilot SP-210 preamp and SA-232 amp that I rebuilt last year to a pair of Klipsch Chorus II's.
I had forgot just how sweet this amp/pre combo sounds. The Klipsch are super efficient which is a great match with this amp (or any other for that matter :) )
Wush ya were here to check out this rig and comment.

For me, there's Klipsch and there's everything else. I have the Chorus II speakers and I play all my stuff as well as my keyboards through them. There was a stage version of that (in unfinished cabinets) with the tweeter horn on a swivel so you could focus it. I often wish I had a tube amp, but my Denon class A works just fine. BTW: My Hammond organ has a tube pre-amp and all the warmth comes through!!

Maybe someday I'll get a McIntosh...
BTW: The Klipsch Chorus II is from a design that dates back to 1947. Some think it's the best speaker Paul Wilbur ever made (although the Cornwall is a close contender).
Would it interest you to know that the crossover frequencies of the Leslie 122 and the 147 are the same ones the Chorus II uses? Yup: The same
speaker(s) the real Emo bounced around on stages all over the world. The design is remarkably similar, and the Leslie is still in production (though modified) to accommodate modern equipment. Retro adaptors for the originals are still available. My point is that other speaker designs come and go (witness Matthew Polk, whom I respect by-the-way) but the classics remain!
I have a question or two about tubes, so take a look at my other post under the tube section!

Rex... great to see you have some of your gear set up again. *thumbsup* Esp the Chorus II's. I do have to admit they are some good sounding speaks! I wish I was close enough to come over to hear the set up. All you need now is some tape decks!! *reelspin* *reelspin*

I just hooked up my little Voice Of Music integrated to the Chorus II's and all I can say is holy crap! I forgot how great this little integrated sounds. It may become my #1 rig for a while.
You really need one of these Andy. BTW, take vacation, get on a plane and come check out the rig and Orygun.
