Well, this is beyond interesting, I was a little shocked, I have to admit!!
Led Zeppelin with 4 of the 20 appears to be the winner, band wise. I personally own 19 on the list and on LP. I don't have #19, Duh! I lost the Name Those Tunes contest (couldn't place a finger on #4 in the contest, a G & R song)

In fact I own multiple copies of many and, on many formats.
Anyone give me $25 for a Mint copy of "Thriller"?? I agree with #1 whole-heartedly. Absolutely Brilliant on all counts, *worship* Stevie!!

Thoughts?

Where I was working in 1982 the record rep gave me a free picture disc of Thriller. Sure I took it but I did put it in the closet so no one would see it in my collection. A few years later I looked at it and it was warped beyond repair so I just threw it away. True story!! Swear to God. (Note: Human Nature is a great song... and my story doesn't mean I didn't like the LP*hope*).

There are 10 records of the 20 that I have owned. Wore out my Zep I. And of course I have the Beatles (comment for Stu*devil*).

Right next to the Rick Astley and Vanilla Ice collection, eh? *Hi5*

My network nazi's have blocked that site so I can't look at it until I get home. I'm sure I'll have some differing opinions. Dang, how do they expect a guy to get any work done if they block these sites?!? :D

Oh, come on. We all have skeletons in our musical closet. Buried deep among my rock n' roll is a Rick James album from his hey-day. I'm sure we all have a few one-eyebrow-raisers. Come on, come clean, ya know ya wanna. You still wear a Tone Loc t-shirt, don'tcha? *eyepop*

It's like your clairvoyant bringing up Tone Loc. Quick story... right at the end of my original vinyl era (circa late 1989) I used to frequent this used record store that got 12" singles from the radio stations. At that time I had 1500 or so LP's. I picked up "Funky Cold Medina". Got it home and the fidelity of that song literally blew away almost anything I heard on my system vinyl wise. I was so disappointed in the record industry at that time...thinking "right at the end of the life of the medium... they finally get it right". I used to say. So... no t-shirt but I did have the vinyl. The only rap song I ever had. True story. So you guessed it.. Tone Loc it is...*devil*

I only have about 1/2 on the list.
My friends used to give me grief when I referred to Led Zeppelin as too pop for my taste.
So of course Ive never owned any Beatles or Stones .
And MJ and Prince live in their own little world that does not include me.

My friends used to give me grief when I referred to Led Zeppelin as too pop for my taste. I say the same after Zep II.
So of course Ive never owned any Beatles or Stones. Though they were the originals... I was 7 when the Beatles came out. Up 'till then it was Bobby Rydel and beach movie songs my older sister listened to. They were a step in the right direction for the music world they took by storm.
And MJ and Prince live in their own little world that does not include me. And I will add George Michael to that list.

Did anyone else get the xls file a the end of the text before the list?? It's there top 75, so you can see who came close.
