Hello All,
I have the Professional Sony WMD-6C...and a very good Sony Sports Walkman from mid 1980's, and finally, a tough built Gray Walkman by Sony, from around 1990, it costed over $100.00, Its called the Outback.

But my fondest memory was from a much less quality machine, its the Sanyo M4440. It was the first Walkman I ever heard, in about 1981 or so. For Sentimental Reasons, Id love to find another one of these, that would be still in functional performance. I mean everything working properly. That may be asking alot for a Sanyo....but it was a part of my Childhood. Let me know if you see these anywhere, I appreciate it. Thanks, Ray

Do you happen to have any pics? Sanyo made some fine gear, and my favorite boom-box of the era is a Sanyo model. I've been looking for one for awhile. *thumbsup*

Hello, I dont have pics, but I think the pic of this unit shows up on the pocketcalculator website. It was a simple walkman, but was the first time I ever heard stereo in such a way, it blew my mind. I still remember the song, it was an 80's hit called "Cool Night"...very popular...Ray*hypnot*

She's a beauty:)

The word "San" means "A deam" in Croatian and I remember one particular Sanyo ad that said - "does the name Sanyo remind you of a dream? That's because it's a dream to have a Sanyo"

I hope you do find one!

@Scorpion8 - I would really like to see the pics of your walkmans!

May God bless you all on this time of joy and into the next year!

It's 80 pounds, about 128 US dollars and 100 more (65 pounds) for Royal Air Mail (to me at least as it's my account I'm looking from).

It's red, like the picture we saw and it has a CASE! NO PHONES.

Anybody have an idea how to make this work for him?

If Walkgirl doesn't have it, it probably didn't exist!

One of our members was looking for one a long time ago and I pointed it out to him, perhaps the seller's location being in the UK discouraged him.
