The reels with yellow labels are duplicated by Ampex on Scotch 190 (acetate) tape. The others are on Scotch 150 (polyester).

The Ampex-duplicated reels preserve the original sequences of the LP issues:

The others change the sequences to bring their running times closer in duration:

There was also an Ampex-duplicated compilation of the first two TJB albums on one reel, but as it was a 3 3/4 ips tape I left it there.

I've got a few of those Herb Alpert tapes myself. Most of them sound quite good. But one thing I have always wondered about...is it all the same brunette on all the front covers?????

I'm dying to know....

Herb is one of the bands I always pick up , be it 8 track, cassette or vinyl. Once I get a *reelspin*to *reelspin* I'll look for them too.

The one on WHAT NOW MY LOVE does look a lot like the one on SOUTH OF THE BORDER (and she's the wife of Jerry Moss, the M of A&M).
