Here's a rare Marantz MF-1 cassette.

Not familiar with this one so I'm supposing it was made for the Japanese domestic market, which suggests it's of fairly good quality.

Any forum members using or has had experience with, all comments welcome.

That was back when most of the cassette machine manufacturers also made their own brand of tape; Sony lasted longer than all of them. Teac, Akai, Pioneer, Nakamichi, Technics, Ampex, Panasonic, 3M (Scotch tape, Wollensak machines) & GE all used to have their own brand of tape. Oddly enough, TDK & Maxell never built any cassette decks to my knowledge.

Cool looking tape, but I bet just like the Pioneer and Yamaha tapes they are rare. :-?
