This is a tape I made back in 1992 after I first got a CD player. One of the first CD's I bought was "The Best of Peter & Gordon". I had bought a single-disc RCA CD player @ Best for about $150 & plugged it into my Seiko boombox with detachable speakers & dual cassette (I didn't get a cassette deck & amp until the following summer). I recorded this tape on that boombox of some songs off that CD. The other side of the tape is a Buddy Holly collection of his 20 greatest hits. I don't recall if I dubbed that off a cassette or CD; I had the album on both formats.
Anyway, it's been years since I heard this tape. After I RW & FF all the way thru, I gave it a listen. Wow, those Sony UX's hold up great! No loss of sound whatsoever! It's amazing. Almost no hiss, all the highs are there. Here's a picture of the cassette playing in my Teac A-103 as I'm typing this. P&G's hit from 1965, "Woman", is playing right now.
