I know Scorpion8, had the pretty box set of NOS ones, I've suckered (enabled) Dale back into the tape world, he bought his Kenwood KX-1060 in the UK Navy store (he's ex Navy, USS Merrill DD-976) in the early 80's, IIRC, he just informed me he'd like some XL-II S tapes to play with, system #3 in my sig is basically his :-)<- .
I told him he just missed a deal on a mint NOS 10 tape in original wood box set, he's havin' a *fit* I looked around the tape selling sites ya'll mentioned and didn't see any II S's, maybe I missed something, I guess he could use the II 's but, he likes the best, maybe some other high biased type II 's of similar quality for his Kennie?? he's got money *quiet* *quiet* I feel bad, NOT *devil*

I remember must have been two years ago on Ebay they'd list numerous auctions for the last version of the IIS where you'd get like 10 tapes for $20 bucks. Those days are gone.

Dale looks very *ill* now, I brought him a towel and a bucket! *devil* I guess this could be a good project for me I'll copy my priceless XL IIS's onto something and just give him mine, I have a XL IIS 100 and now I can't find the 90's, I had 2 *headache*

Here they are.

Good news is: It's an "instant" collection of lots and lots of tape*.
Bad news is this one is going to cost a fortune. I'm predicting it will breach the $200+ mark by the time it ends. As per usual-especially with good item auctions such as this. There will be a furious round of sniping in the last few minutes and seconds of the auction. So don't get your hopes up too high if the price doesn't move much in the interim. Like I said. It will explode during the last sixty seconds. Mark my words. But if you want or need them, here's your chance.
*This is not my auction and am not in any way affiliated.

Thankee Matt, I have it on my watch list, there is a descrepency between the pic and the description, I count 46 IIS's 90min and a 100min, I asked the seller a question about it, not heard back yet. PM me please, with what you would set the snipe on if you were gonna bid (I'm assuming you're not) Like I said, Dale's got money *quiet* *stirpot*. We did just get a $250 electric bill for the month of July, only up from $190 last year, I told him it was the Yamaha amps fault *devil*
