1st, Thank You, well, all of you *Hi5* Truely in awe here in the Old Pueblo, Tucson AZ.
a couple of disclaimers:
1.This is for tapes made on the SAE C101, various sources, mainly LP's
2.I have to find a MA-XG that I can sacrifice a side of to record. Might take awhile, some this stuff is irreplacable *hearts* So it's only gonna sound as good as the SAE, which was not a sloutch by a long shot!!
3.The Luxman K-112 has nothing to be shamed of *flame* , ducking!
This baby is sweeet *hearts* top to bottom, it's won my black little heart *eyepop* *hypnot* , the 'Logans are ruthless of anything put into them, the Marantz warms things up a little, but, Crap it's like hearing everything new again. Really, I am in awe of everything I'm hearing.
Sis, Boom, BAM!! Sizzile high hat cymbal shimmer *hearts* , !jam!*pork*)dance(*yip*
Ya'll get the picture, I thought I had a very nice lookin' doorstop. The quality showed through in the end, extra special thanks to Scorp, the macster, for helping me blow out the cobwebs, and wipe the sleep outta her eyes *Hi5*
Sure opened mine, ears too!! I love this NAK! I can't wait till I record on it, I gotta decide what first, 7,000 LP's and a couple hundred CD's?!!? Hmmm!

Quit waffling, "fire" that baby up, use what you can spare, go for it and then post a tapedrop. Get busy, curious minds want to know. Also, check this out, Naks love this stuff (S-721H) and take very kindly to it. http://americanrecorder.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=108

M, :-oo:-oo "wafflin' " I haven't heard that in years!!!! *fit* I'm at -0$$'s right now thanks to all the wonderfull enabler's here on TH, rent's coming up, soooo, first things first. Des is gettin' a nice *check* from me first payday after the 1st of the month, if'n someone wants to bequeth me with a nice new MA-XG I'll be more then happy to get "off the pot" *devil* I really, really don't want to tape over anything I have in my meager tape hoard, it's all just to priceless to me. I've already sent one of my "babies" out into the world for the Tape Traveling swap thing. I'm sorry to waffle, but, just listening to it now is about all I can handle, Yes, I owe ya one!! *Hi5*, I gotta go to work,
later,

Stu.. welcome to club Nakamichi. Just like you said (in different words) the high end must sound awesome on those Logans. Well they aren't to shabby on my Polk's here through my Yamaha's. Glad you like the deck. I've been sold on the Nak sound for years... though just got my first three head a few months ago. So go ahead and enjoy!!

I'm going to hijack that URL (and this thread) and get some of that cleaner. Man they know how to get your $$$. A 2oz bottle is $10 and a full quart is $30. My question to you is... what's your experience in how much a couple of ounces lasts? Is it worth it to spring for the quart?

If you have one deck, a 2 oz bottle is good for a couple of years. I wouldn't buy a quart as it would evaporate wayyy before I would use it. Don't forget the wooden cotton swabs. I got the "angled" ones and they are working pretty good. BTW, don't sniff that stuff either. *devil*

Great, :D , I was gonna mention the provocitive smell eminating from the NAK, all those circiuts warming up after a looong nap, I sniff everything, the Yamaha amp was a NOS, barely used before I got it, it filled the listening room the first couple of days, very cool and, very sexy I might add *devil* I've been accused of bein' a wacko because I have a very good sense of smell, along with great hearing, what?? I can't hear you *devil*
I'll sniff just about anything *devil* but, not anything foul or mind altering, the stuwster is altered enough, thank you very much.........*hypnot*
Damn, this deck is nice, low level detail is..well...spooky, it plays very nicely with the main rig. Danger Boy is gonna start pushing interconnects and cables on me, He's a Polk guy too. maybe a system for the bedroom, ya'll need to stop enabling...*devil* *stirpot* *whipslap*
