nikon FE for $20!

stopped at an estate sale, and found my first film SLR, a Nikon FE, for $20. Seems to be fully working, but I have not gone to get a battery for it yet.

How'd I do?

You did great if your a collector or going to use it. If it hasn't been cleaned and lubed you could damage the intricate focal plane shutter. That lens is what is worth the most of your deal. It'll fit on all Nikon SLR's... yes even the APS sensor digitals. Which it would be a GREAT 75mm portrait lens. Did you get the f1.8 like the one in the picture or perhaps the 1.4 or 1.2?? Do you plan on using it??

I got the same lens pictured...the 1.8 lens. The shutter seems to work fine, in the m90 setting, and bulb setting (my camera knowledgeable friend was with me in this sale, and had a good look at it).

Yes, I want to use it....and develop my own film....I think that I have got a line on a free enlarger from my former middle school....nothing special, just a beseler cadet II, with a timer. Taking photo 1 in school now, so I know what to do (most of the time).
