As announced (http://www.tapeheads.net/showthread.php?t=5519) last week, a few minor changes to the site were being considered and have now been implemented.
First, under the Reel To Reel forum, the old Subforum titled "Toob Decks" has been closed. This was a unique area of the site that was seeing almost no action. All topics that were residing inside that forum have been moved into the general discussion for reel to reel. That should also be the place to discuss tube powered reel decks in the event a discussion of that nature should arise in the future.
Second, the Mixing And Multitracking sections have also been closed. In their place, a new subforum under Tape And Taping called Pro Audio has been created. So for those of you (like Vinyldavid) who want to talk about editing, mixing, 2" tapes, etc., you may continue to do so under that new section. Previously, having an entire forum complete with three subs for that part of the hobby was just not befitting to the subject, owing the the miniscule amount of interest being paid to it.
And finally, I have given the Home Page (http://www.tapeheads.net/index.html)a revision and freshened up look, the first time it's been changed since March. It hasn't been fundamentally altered in terms of layout or appearance. I merely revised the coloring a bit, slightly rearranged the navigation links, and re-wrote the welcome message. Hope you guys like it.
Thanks!
