I,ve had one of these for a while thought i,d connect to my Teac R2R bit admit i don,t know how to calibrate it or set it up,,, any help out there,,,thanks FF

It would help to have the Dolby level playback tape. You could begin with recording a 1kHz sine tone at 0Vu, and see where the level is on the Teac's tiny meter. If it happens to be at 0 (with deck output VRs set to max), you are in business. Then you record a tone using the Teac's test oscillator and set the record level calibration controls for zero. The idea is to record and play back at exactly the same level.

Also, some vendors of pre-recorded Dolby tapes had level tones on their tapes. Barclay-Crocker did this. Those can also be used for Dolby level calibration*reelspin*.
