One of my all time favorite performers, he/she is just too much, I'm searching for his/her stuff. I'll share the web site and a couple of pics. the humor is Very dry and borderline obscene, only Dame Edna could get away with it in prime time broadcasts here in the strangled, censor happy US of A I've got some old VHS tapes from the UK, http://www.dame-edna.com/

Hey Stuwee. The dame is an Aussie Icon/treasure (as in where the hell did they dig that up) type treasure. Some friends of mine went to a live show some years back and turned up late...Whooops....big whoooops. Edna proceeded to berate and persecute them all night all through the show. Flogged them with her famous gladdys (flowers on long stalks) the whole bit. My friends got invited backstage after the show for a drink and got to meet Barry Humphries aka Edna.
Cheers
Graham

Wow! I love to be berated by her, and beaten silly with Gladdy's in front of an audience, that's almost too much to hope for, I think her bridesmaid Madge would be a hoot to party with.

It's as I suspected Craig - we have the same irreverant humour. I have a copy of Sir Les Patterson's "The Travellers Tool". To quote, I think the back of Monty Python's Contractual Obligations album, you'll laugh until you stop. I must work out a way of getting a copy of this book for you. Leave it to me!!

Cheers - Marc

As Dame Edna is wont to say, I'll wait for : "The delievery persons finger gently toying with my entry button" :-oo:-oo*yikes* With her bridesmaid Madge in a sackdress leering on a wooden stool in the background.
