Thought I'd share a piece of history with ya'll, back in the good ol' days when I bought my SAE system, at J&R Music World, I got to see 2 of these Bad Boys behind a plexiglass display rack in the "special" show/listening room. *drool**drool* ++ to the nth%.(Yes boys and girls, J&R had real salespersons that would let you hear stuff and sell it to you, very nice folks too!) *hypnot* They were bi-amping some speakers which I didn't remember since I couldn't tear my eyes off the amps, one came up for sale recently, I didn't even try to bid on it, notice the final bid "reserve not met" Holy Crap!! *devil* That's a 20+ year old amplifier *eyepop*http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270241439171&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017
the thumbnails are from the net and my factory brochure I found the other day with some manuals of my SAE gear.
edit: disregard the first pic. it's late and it's nice and all, but not the SAE

And well worth the price of admission. You Do Not see that Warning on every day SS equipment.
Hazardous energy present, "no S**T!! *devil* shoot your butt across the room, and give you a whole new hair-do. Gives the word "respect" a whole new meaning, I was very lucky to have seen two in the flesh *eyepop*
I'd be interested in seeing some other Bad Boys! *devil*

Biggest amp I've seen online in my circle is a Rotel RB 1090 amp at 360 watts high current per channel into 8 ohms. Thing weighed over 100 pounds to lift. A friend of mine has that amp. He loves it.
Its funny how high power amps have low damping factors. Not sure on the Rotel above, but I think its low on that one too. My lower power Rotel I think is 500 though.

Yummy, I remember those, drooled of them as a youngster, beastie's from the UK:-)<-*praise*, you never see them either, I checked the SAE's Damping factors, they're different in the manual than the brochure, 155/200 respectively, I know they get a real tight grip on the 'Logans top to bottom, fast MF'rs *devil* I'll have to check what the Yamaha is.
