My computer has a 24bit sound card. I have the line out connected to the line in of the cassette deck. (Denon DRM44-HX). Should I just play out of the computer or should I burn a disc and then play it out of a CD player.

I have a Y-adapter plugged from the audio out on my computer into my NAD integrated amp, then record from the tape monitor loop onto one on my decks.

Actually THE best way would be to record what ever digital file you have onto a CD-R, and then play that CD-R on the best CD/DVD player you have. Then make a tape direct from that deck. Most sound cards in computers have sub standard D/A converters and you will be better off using a playback CD deck to do the D/A conversion which should be more geared to sound quality. Wavefiles on the CD-R are prefered.

Play it from the PC but make sure you bypass the Windows internal mixer to avoid downsampling.
