There's a ton of nice photo work on TH, I put some of my crappy ones together, I'll get the old film camera out for some quality work soon. Lady Ayeka put one together, anyone else?
You can do it under your profile, user cp on the upper left, then on the left side of the page, hit albums and pics to make one.

None of these were taken by me, they were on the internet.
The last two are sad, 2nd to last (folks actually live there??)

Yepper's, pretty much a done deal, I call him NEWMAN in my best Jerry Seinfeld accent, I guess they're buds, I like him, except for the Daytona 500 fiasco in Febuary *headache* *fit*
He won fair and square though, *Hi5*, even with a "shrub" up his butt*flame*
I guess this tells the story of Tony and Ryan

I have about 3 albums so far which are scans of my sealed tapes I have. They were posted a month and two ago.
I like your thoughts on using film for serious work. I have only 1 digital camera, but over a dozen film cameras. Each has its own use at what its good for. I prefer using film the majority of time. I've had digital SLRs, but I keep selling them from non use since my film SLRs get used most of the time. I just like film better.

I don't know where they got that picture from, but JackFM is the radiostation here in Vancouver BC. Funny how a local station would find this pic. But yes I would not want to live in trailer town which what looks like in that pic.

":-)<-braxus, your scans look good to me. Any digital cam work you did is nice! I'm using a friends Kodak 3.2 mega pixel cam, far from the quality I'd like. My Real camera is a Canon T90, the last of the "bridged" film camera's from the early 90's, no auto focusing, auto everything else, I bought a book on it, and still never used all the features, mutiple zone exposure, muti-exposure computing. Etc.. The main lens I use is a 50mm F 1:1.4 and a 28mm F 1:2.8(??) can't find it *fit* . I trained with some of the best in NYC, the reason I moved there. I was trained to "know" how a film like Fuji, Extar, Kodachrome would expose and print on all the differant papers avalible at that time. I'm pretty far behind on that stuff now but, it's like riding a bike really! I just have to get back in the saddle*check*. I'm not bragging, I'm very good at picture taking, compostion, color and bizarre subject matter are my forte'. film is just a canvass. the light the brush, the camera is the handleof the brush. I can talk all day about this and still not know everything, I'll happily share with others all I can.:-)<- see I can't even multi quote right :D

Stuwee- just make sure the word [/Quote] is after the last word spoken in the comments from others. Then after that speak your comments.
Anyway I used to own a Canon T90. Bought mine new in 1988. That camera came out in 1986 and didn't stay long on the market due to EOS coming out. I suspect it took them years to sell the stock of the T90 before it was sold out in the early 90s. Anyway word of caution on that camera- use it or lose it. It doesn't like sitting around not being used. If you do that it will most likely fail the next time you go to shoot a roll in it. The magnets in the shutter seize up or something. I still have a couple FD cameras and have the 50mm f1.4 lens you have. I'd like to get the 50mm f1.2L they made as well. I use 50mm most of the time. But I have since gone on to autofocus and that is where the bulk of my 35mm shooting is done.
I work in a photolab (have for 11 years now), so I know how things have progressed in this field. Also I photograph when I can as this is my hobby. Haven't had much to shoot these days. My favorite two cameras are my Elan 7 and Pentax 6x7. I also have a EOS 1N-HS for backup, plus several other cameras and such. My 4x5 camera doesn't get much use these days.
When I had the T90- I loved it. I just got tired of its problems being in repair a lot in its last days. The last time I sent it in- the repair outlet fried the camera and I ended up selling it for parts at a major loss to me.
And to add- I did not use a camera for those pictures of the sealed tapes I have. I used my flatbed scanner to do all that. That is why they are so good. All I did was tweak the pics somewhat since Im good at doing that from work.

This is disturbing news, though I can't say I'm suprised, as complicated as the camera is, I haven't used it in years, I'll get a 4-pack of AA batteries, double quick and *hope* see what happens. I must have bought it in '87 or so because it was The Canon to have if you didn't want the auto focus EOS, I paid a little over $700 at a discount shop in NYC, the ones that used to advertise in the back of the photo mags, they did have good prices, not sure what the MSRP was but, it was a lot more than $700 for the body.
If it's gone, it's gone, I'll see if I can find an old F body (?) those were tanks, I didn't use the fancy stuff much anyway, I think I know an antique shop that has one, been gathering dust for years, IIRC*hope*
edit: I screwed that up as well!

Its funny how the Canon F1n and F1NII go for more money then the T90. People are aware now of the T90s issues, which lowers the price quite a bit. I paid $800 Canadian for mine new. Or was that $700? I forget. If I use FD- I get out my mom's old AE-1 I inherited. I also have a FTb which the focus is off, so I don't use it much. I must have bought the last Varta mercury cell for that thing available. But even my mom's AE-1 is starting to have issues. I dropped it once and got it repaired, but now the shutter won't release with a cable release and when you press the shutter half way- the light meter isn't stable. It sometimes overexposes.

Stuwee, do you still use the Pentax?
I always liked those.
I borrowed one from a friend and loved the way they handled, just like an Olympus on steroids.
I was impressed by the 300 mm that was on it.

Do you mean me or Stuwee? My quote got mixed up in his quote. I use a Pentax 6x7, but I only use it occassionally due to its size and weight of using it with the lenses I have. And a tripod is a must with that camera. Its not a camera kit I can bring on trips I go; only if I drive myself will I bring it.
I've also used a Pentax K1000 and that camera I got used to using in high school.

I'm doing regular quotes for now-*headache*, I wish I had the 6X7, Nice!! I think I know where a F1 is cheap, I'll check tomorrow, I forgot about it today!?!@ I still have(not working now) one of the first AE-1's in the US, my Dad's buddy was a pilot for Japan airlines bought it in Tokyo for me, as I'd just heard of it and begged, and begged, wish I'd saved the box and paperwork for grins :D Had to have been '77 as I was a soph in HS taking my first photo class. Does that year sound right? Anyway, in the middle of a shoot, the old AE-1 locked up, mirror up, had the power winder on it, still have 'em, should I get them looked at eventually? Would it be worth it?
The T90 is like , whatever as far as I'm consurned, You've got me wanting an old vintage workhorse now, :-? Mom has an old Contax rangefinder, Gramps bought in Switzerland in the 50's, Carl Ziess lens, puts anything I've used in the shade, bet she put is away somewhere, and just uses her phonecam, shame, I'll ask her about that too.

If you are looking to going into medium format, the Pentax 6x7 can be bought fairly cheap these days. Around $300 will get you a body and sometimes a lens too.
That AE-1 lockup is common. Typically its the battery that goes dead and freezes up the camera. Problem is putting in a new battery won't fix anything because the camera is stuck in a mode and won't finish what it started. Only sending it in will fix the problem. My AE-1 froze up too on an important shoot with a lovely lady I liked, so it was the worst possibly timing for that. She later let me do a second shoot with her though. The second time I brought my big guns cameras, one of which I aquired after that first shoot. The Pentax I finally got a lens for it late that year and was able to use it on the second shoot. Its amazing how big you can blow up 6x7 negs and still retain the detail and sharpness. I got 4 shots of her on 16x20 prints, so when I finally put them up one day on my wall- I can look at her and remember her beauty and times we shared. She was & is a lovely lady. She's indirectly partly responsible for bringing me to Jesus to be honest. She is married today and now has a family of her own.
