I just bought a TCD 310 MKII and ran a test session with Beocord 9000, using the pre-recorded ABBA Gold normal cassette.

It was unbelievable. According to spec, BC9000 has far higher specs even for normal than TCD 310 MKII.

TCD 310 MKII blew BC9000 away!

It had more depth, space, more "musical", 3 dimensional.

Now, to be fair, BC9000 had a slightly more refined sound.

For rock, pop, and country, TCD 310 MKII is way better than BC9000.

For classical, jazz, BC9000 might be slightly better than TCD 310 MKII.

TCD 310 MKII is a far better value than BC9000, also, mechanical was far more robust than BC9000, which is a bit flimsy.

Dolph was right on the money.

Sorry, no picture for now. But I'm sure you guys all know what TCD 310 and BC 9000 look like.

Based on the performance of TCD 310 MKII, 3014 or 910 must be out of this world.

Some like them, others don't. The DynEq that Tandberg used was "different" (without specifying "better" or "worse") and not everyone was sold on it. Am glad you enjoy the deck. I don't have one in my stash, but it is on my list just for that purpose. I'd love to hear one myself.
