I just bought a TCD 310 MKII and ran a test session with Beocord 9000, using the pre-recorded ABBA Gold normal cassette.
It was unbelievable. According to spec, BC9000 has far higher specs even for normal than TCD 310 MKII.
TCD 310 MKII blew BC9000 away!
It had more depth, space, more "musical", 3 dimensional.
Now, to be fair, BC9000 had a slightly more refined sound.
For rock, pop, and country, TCD 310 MKII is way better than BC9000.
For classical, jazz, BC9000 might be slightly better than TCD 310 MKII.
TCD 310 MKII is a far better value than BC9000, also, mechanical was far more robust than BC9000, which is a bit flimsy.
Dolph was right on the money.
