Man, this is really getting to be like a disease. I guess my Studer B62 was getting lonely so I got a Studer A62 to help keep it company..
At least I'm not hoarding cats yet (only one so far)

i know nothing of them. do the electronics come in a seperate unit?

The record/play electronics are built in. These had a meter bridge that also contains the level controls and the record interlock switch, The unit can be used for playback as-is and can record with the interlock jumpered over though you'd have no meters. Its a half track stereo all discreet signal path solid state unit from the 60's with XLR ins and outs. For some reason the meter bridges are usually missing as many of these were used remotely in radio stations etc.
