After going through a handful of reel to reels I finally got a Tascam 34 for my studio and I'm very happy with it. *Hi5* This is probably the best one I've had. It' in great shape and haven't had to mess with it *hope*. It's a nice 4 track and can play 7.5 and 10.5 reels. Thought I'd share that with you guys.

Mighty fine looking deck!
for entertainment (listening to steely dan, etc)? or 'bidness (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bidness)'?; ie recording bands, self, duos, etc, whatever? for $ or for free?

i used to do both. probably why i never made any money.
but i loved doing it anyway, a 'labor of love', as they say.

Thanks for the reply. I actually do both. Listening enjoyment and recording bands, my own compositions, choirs, etc for profit and just for the sake of recording. I love that part of it. I'm right now in the process of transfering my vinyl onto tape. I have my music saved in different formats but I prefer analog. Yes, it is a labor of love! Thanks again.
