Hi: I have a Nak RX-202 cassette deck and I would like to record voices, actually drum sounds. Can I buy a microphone and plug it into one input, much like plugging in a c.d. player and if it's do-able, will any mic work,or do I need something special? Thanks, Huck

The impedence levels are different on mic inputs vs. line-level inputs. If there are no mic inputs on you Nak, you'll need to get a mic pre-amp.

Thanks! Maybe I can use a hand held digital voice recorder instead, just trying to record and playback drum rudiments. Thanks,Huck

Actually, that might do just fine. I have a RCA RP5120-A (bought it at Wal-Mart) and it works wonderful in capturing those "special" events.
