It looks like the specs are good: Onkyo is known for decent equipment. The three reviews on the site are positive.

I love my Onkyo decks (TA-2600 and TA-R410) but those are all I have experience with. I do like the picture in the link. They have it sporting two hot Metal Vertex *drool*

The Travelling Tape (Pt.II) that I just mailed out to the next member on the list had tracks on it that were recorded from three differnent Onkyo tape decks on it and they all sounded really, really good. Additionally, I had a TA-2058 for years and it was an outstanding deck.

Personally, if I were inclined to get myself a dual-well deck I'd be on the hunt for an Onkyo or Sony ES.

Specs look decent enough, get it and tell us what you think.

Negatives on the specs, no HX-Pro NR (which I think is quite nice) and no bias adjust. Then again, it is a dual well deck, so maybe that's asking a bit much. I have not shopped dual well units, so I don't even know if they have them with bias control and HX-Pro...

Isn't this their last deck they are offering/manufacturing?? I can't really see Onkyo or any other audio company proceeding with production of a cassette deck.Is this the end??*fit**hypnot**devil* Rob
