Does anyone know of anyplace where I can buy 100 minute type II cassettes, preferably the TDK SA or Fuji DR-II? Outside of www.photosuperia.com, I don't know of any other store that sells packaged 100 minute tapes.
The reason I ask is I have a few albums that are about 47-48 minutes long & I'd like to get the whole album on one side. I usually prefer 90 minute cassettes, but I'll use a 100 minute if I need to. That's as long as I'll go, though.

Just ANY tape is, as you know, getting hard to find. Especially the C-100's. Only one I can think of that might still be made new would be the TDK SA.
Also it looks like TapeWorld has some of the junky Maxell XLII-S C-100's still in stock:

Yeah, I saw those @ Tape World, but I know the newer Maxell stuff isn't too good. Geez, I used to have several 100 minute TDK SA (or SA-X?) & Maxell XLII-S tapes years ago. I only was able to find one of the Maxell's, which I've already recorded some Frank Sinatra & A.C. Jobim on.

I'm actually going to order some TDK SA-100's from PhotoSuperia; they're only 99 cents/tape. I know Fuji makes the DR-II in 100 lengths, according to their website, but I can't find anyplace that sells them.

I can only suggest Ebay as the market is fairly small over here and most vendors do not stock cassette any longer.
I prefer 90 minute length tape but the one 100 minute cassette I can recommend is the Denon MG-X100, not overly easy to find and around $30. I have no idea what these retailed for when they were available having never seen one back then, wouldn't have been cheap either.
Well worth seeking out and finding the cash for, less praised than some of the other obvious candidates this is one great tape with a high standard of construction.

Oh, geez, that reminds me; there's a hi-fi store here in town that sells 100 minute Denon cassettes for $2.50/each. I only want to buy 3 or 4. I'm going there today to buy some!

I just got back from that hi-fi shop & was able to buy 2 Denon HD7 for $2.49/each & 2 Denon HD8 for $3/each, all 100 minute. If anyone's interested, they have 4-packs of Denon HD8 for $12. They also sell 7-inch reels of Sony RTR tape for $16. The guy there said they have a bit of everything.
