Kenwood KR-720 Receiver

A guy in my building just dropped off this Kenwood KR-720 receiver with "issues". 40wpc, clean looks (internet pic attached). Looks like a decent if unremarkable unit that might go good in the daughter's apartment but when I turn it on the power meter LEDs peg. Looks like I've got some work ahead of me.

Anyone know anything about this unit? Sales brochures? Complete specs? SM?

I think it is one of the prettiest ever made. It is wide bandwidth and oscillates if there are any solder problems, so it is considered prone to blowing up. I feel it is worthwhile repairing for good sound and good looks.
