Congratulations. Being out of work is an emotional drain at times.
Puts a damper on buying stuff too.
Best of luck in your new adventure.

You are not working at Fuddruckers are you? I am trying to think of what else is n the neighborhood. Lets see there are medical and office buildings. I wished my employment was that close. I live about 4 southwest of there. *wave*

Excellent news. I have been where you are and went through some hard times myself when I was younger. I did almost everything imaginable at one time or another to earn a living: pizza delivery, dishwasher, short order cook, door-to-door canvassing, data-entry-clerk, construction. I've done it all. And it is no picnic. So needless to say, we are all wishing you a hearty congratulations.

Ahhhh Fudds: Best sit-down/restaurant burger EVER!
Best "fast-food" burger is, of course, In-N-Out. No visit to the West is complete without having a Double Double.
Only two Fudds near me that I know of. And both are constantly PACKED.

Good for you! It's nice having holidays & weekends off.
I just got finished with some rough times financially that could have been over awhile ago had the creditor & the credit counseling service spoke with each other. Back in my 20's, I was dopey with some credit cards. It finally caught up with me a few years back & a credit counseling service consolidated my debts into one payment. That one payment ate up most of my 2nd paycheck each month. A few weeks ago, figuring I must be close to being paid off, I called the credit counseling service. They said I had to call the credit card company. I called the CC co. that I had several accounts with & they said I had a credit of over $4000!!!! Holy Mother Of Pearl! They said the credit counseling service kept sending in my payment every month after it had been paid off! They'll be sending me a check. I called back the credit counseling service to terminate my agreement with them & I asked them why they didn't notify me. They said they & the CC Co. don't talk to each other. Gee, that's swell. It's hard for me to be too mad, though, with that nice chunk of change coming. Now I can pad my checking acct. & build up my savings.

FF... did your first day of work go OK??My F----ing Feet are killin me,,it,s definitly going to be a challenge,,some old out-dated equipment, no oven ,,no grill,,no fryer,,but I have a Panini grill and a off the hook pizza baker that can bang out a pie in a little over 3 minutes,,, 10 plus years ago if I,d walked into a kitchen like that I would have been worried but the years i,ve been in the business has taught me to turn negatives in to positives, so it,s just a matter of designing a menu around the equipment i have on hand I,m fortunate to have a anal retentive cook who is a clean freak that I think I need to Challenge,,As it turns i got a phone call from the head of personnel for the largest food organization in the USA wanting me to come in a talk to her about a high profile position for the new Twins Stadium but I think I,m going to Stay put,,
hey WEB the building is across the highway from FUDS

Congrats FF, we have a couple family members dealing with this shitty economy. My wife and I are helping out with their monthly prescriptions.
Glad to see everything's working in the right direction. Good luck to you.
