Hello folks,

New to the forum and thought I would say hello. I currently live in the Philly area but am originally from Orange County, CA. I enjoy all facets of electronic stuff. From the vintage reel tape and vinyl stuff to the latest digital stuff. And all of that is in my home system. It is not the million dollar high end audiophile line of equipment, but I enjoy it.

My friends think I am nuts to mess with the reel stuff and argue with me about how good they sound. That is, until I get them to come take a listen.

I am also a Mustang nut, hence the screen name. And of course, the Mustang has a nice Alpine DVD head unit, and custom amp/speaker set up.

Welcome aboard! Thanks for joining. Sounds like you and I have a lot in common. I am still IN OC. I've been to Philly many times. And one of my cars is a '98 Cobra. Has all of 46k miles on it.

And I love tape and reel to reel too. The wife thinks I'm nuts. But she puts up with it because it means it keeps me busy. And I won't be out chasing 'other' things if you know what I mean.

I see that OC at the top of your posts. I grew up in Garden Grove and graduated from Rancho in 1978.

'98 Cobra, sweet. I have a '06 GT that I show and drag a little. It is my money pit. Lots of mods. If interested, check out my forum, I run vbulletin also. Valley Forge Mustang Club (http://www.vfmustangclub.com)

I know exactly what you mean. My wife does not share my passion for the old stuff, but she tolerates it.

Welcome to TapeHeads... both a cassette and reel user here. It's just great getting and using this stuff that I dreamed about 30 years ago that I couldn't afford then.

Des you mean chasing things like some new interconnects or a higher end player, right??:-?:D
