Well, I've decided on the cassette tapes I'll be purchasing this weekend. After doing a bunch of research & listening to various tapes I've recorded, here are the tapes I've decided on. As always, 1 box = 10 cassettes.
5 boxes of Akai GX-90 from Batteries & Butter
5 boxes of Akai SX-90 " " " " "
7 boxes of Fuji DR-I from TapeWorld (I really like these tapes & TapeWorld has a flat $8.95 shipping rate)
6 boxes of TDK Pro Media SM-90 from WM Sales (I'm not sure they still have the 90 minute in stock. If not, I'll get 2-3 boxes of the SM-60 from Videotapestock.com.)

It's just too bad there isn't one store where I could get all these tapes. TapeWorld has the TDK Pro Media SM-60, but at a high price; about $2.29/tape, where as Videotapestock.com has them for only $1.54/tape. Too bad B&B doesn't carry the TDK Pro Media or the Fuji DR-I tapes. Oh well, got to spread the love around, I guess.

Just kidding. :p

Since I'm buying from 3 different sources, I may spread out my purchasing over a week or two. That way, there might be more days when I'll get a package, instead of all at once.

It is always fun to get electronics delivered. I love coming home to find packages on my front steps.

Same here. I've been ordering so many cassettes from so many different places there's a package at least ever other day. Still waiting on a box of 10 minute length TDK SM Pro tapes from Tapes.com that I ordered almost two weeks ago.
Together we Tapeheads will soon own all remaining blank cassette supplies in the world.

Just curious, have you contacted A to Z Audio yet about their heavily discounted supply of TDK SM & SM-X 20 & 30 minute tapes? You could probably buy out their supply for $40-$50.

Hmmm, stagering purchases, what a deliciously marvelous idea, or as Dr. Frankenfurter said,
"Until you quiver with an-tisa--pation"

I have not, only because I'm waiting til this Friday, the next payday. I'm going to call them either then or early next week and see what they can do for the SMX 20 and 30 tapes, which I really want. And hopefully by tomorrow my Nak will be back in proper working order too.

Same feelings.
I wish these companies would ship to Europe.
While US tapeheads buy a 10-pack I have to get them almost one by one. :)

I don't know of any restriction on shipping blank media overseas. You might develop a friendship over here and have somebody ship stuff to you, or offer to swap things that you have that we can't get over here.

All international orders must be prepaid in full with U.S. funds by wire transfer or cashiers check drawn from a U.S. bank.
unfortunately wire or check are more expensive than a couple of boxes including p+p

Sorry about that; I guess I'm pretty ignorant in regards to that sort of thing.
Still, I can't believe there isn't some kind of blank tape mail-order retailer in Europe somewhere. What's up with that? I came across one in the U.K., but they don't ship to the mainland.
Here are a couple of more from the U.K., but I don't know if they ship to mainland Europe:

thanks NAD613!
Unfortunately they don't have anything else, except for the Maxell UDII C100, what I could not buy az our local shops. Ebay remains the only good source, well after swapping with local tapeheads, of course.

TDK used to have their own online store where you could order directly from them. Unfortunately, I found out about it after it closed. I wonder what they charged for those TDK Pro Media SM cassettes?

So I ordered a box of TDK Pro SM10 tapes from tapes.com two weeks ago and they're still not here. I contacted them about it today and they said they're sold out and on backorder, but they expect to have them in one week. I told them that's fine, but now I'm wondering if they're actually going to get them.
